Each ornament is hand-cut, lightly cleaned of excess charring and finished in a ZERO VOC film finish for a protective coating and satin sheen. You can still catch a gentle whiff of pear, apple, vanilla, cinnamon, tobacco and other fragrances from the bourbon infused wood. The ornaments vary in size, but average around 2" x 2". Some of the ornaments contain the croze groove (see pics). Each ornament is tied with a natural bleach-free jute and ready to hang on your Christmas tree! Please keep in mind, these are cultural artifacts made from authentic and locally reclaimed KY bourbon barrels. While I did my best to make them user-friendly, they were acquired from industrial settings and still have their patina intact. Black charring, frayed edges, nail heads, etc may be present. Full of character, yet clean to the touch and glowing! Would make a great gift for your husband, brother, dad or connoisseur of bourbon whiskey! Purchase a few as stocking stuffers or a few dozen to dazzle the tree....The choice is YOURS! This is a seasonal made and LIMITED EDITION RUN, so get them while you can! Ready to ship now! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

The Bluegrass State is known as the Bourbon Capital of the World. A short trip in any direction from my shop or home will eventually land you at one of our renown bourbon distilleries. The distilling process to create bourbon requires the corn whiskey (min 51% corn) to be aged in charred White Oak barrels. The barrels are then stored and aged in rickhouses/ rackhouses for several years. Once the spirits have aged to the distillers liking, the used barrels are no longer allowed to be used for bourbon production again. As a result, the used bourbon barrels and their components are a readily available resource to Kentuckians. After years of seeing stacks of deconstructed barrels in a good friends barn, I decided to work with the staves one day in an attempt to transform them into something useful. Here we are!

santa-claus-christmas-ornaments-made-from-reclaimed-kentucky-tobacco-sticks-handmade-ornament-christmas-tree-ornaments-reclaimed-wood
Santa Claus Christmas Ornaments- Made from Reclaimed Kentucky Tobacco Sticks- Handmade Ornament- Christmas Tree Ornaments- Reclaimed Wood
These Santa Claus ornaments are made from 40-100 year old Kentucky tobacco sticks that were reclaimed from a family barn. These agricultural artifacts may still contain their patina from years of hard work. Some still posses sawmill marks, bug holes (from 40-100 yrs ago when wood was green/wet), nicks, dents, etc. However, now they are jolly Santa Claus Christmas Tree Ornaments. They feature white pom poms, round noses, blushed cheeks, white flowing beards and a looped string of jute to hang from your tree (or anywhere you wish to add Christmas cheer).
