Your mantel piece can be cut anywhere from 4'- 10' in length. Walnut, Cherry, Oak, Maple and Cedar are usually available, but please contact me with your desired species ( or to see samples). These range in depth from 6"-12", but I can find one right for your space if you have a minimum or maximum depth you're seeking. They will also finish out between 2"- to 4" thick, but again, just let me know if you have a desired finished thickness and we'll make it happen. Mantel pieces will be flattened, ripped straight across the back, sanded smooth, cut to specs and finished in a satin oil and wax combo. You also have the preference of having it squared on the facade, or keeping the natural edge intact (with bark removed) to expose the organic curvature of the tree.
