This multi-functional piece can be used as a small side table, end table, drink buddy, statuary stand, vase base, art display, plant stand or just to look cool in a small space of your home! The shape of the table top resembles an elephant head. The top was created out of a figured Maple Burl live edge slab. The wood features high amounts of figuring, gold, brown and red colors, unusual edges and organically gorgeous visual interest! The wood has been worked, sanded, oiled and quenched with several layers of a lacquer based satin film finish to resist moisture and scratches. The film finish application used on the top is an old school method and time consuming process that takes around two weeks to achieve. The hand-rubbed beauty and protection obtained from building up multiple thin coats of finish nice and slow is unmatched when compared to the quicker one coat finishes mostly used today. The tripod base is composed of three 1/2" raw steel bars that have been clear coated for protection. It's an awesome mix of organic beauty, Mid-Century and Industrial design! Measures approximately 12 1/2" x 11" x 22 1/2" H. The solid wooden top is around 1 3/8" thick. Weight limit of steel base is 150 lbs. Optional black rubber feet included with purchase for steel legs.
