Our Story

Kentucky LiveEdge was born out of a deep respect for natural materials and old-world craftsmanship. What started as a passion for working with reclaimed and live edge slabs has grown into a one-of-a-kind furniture studio rooted right here in Kentucky. We don't mass-produce. We don't cut corners. Every table, bench, shelf, and slab we create is made to order — built specifically for you.

Where Our Wood Comes From

We source our slabs locally and regionally, working with sawyers, urban foresters, and land stewards who share our commitment to responsible material use. Our inventory includes reclaimed barn wood with history baked into every grain, urban salvage trees that would otherwise go to waste, and carefully harvested live edge slabs that showcase the natural edge of the tree exactly as it grew.

No two slabs are alike. The live edge, the grain pattern, the character marks — they're as unique as a fingerprint.

The Handcrafting Process

From the moment a slab arrives in our workshop, it's treated with care. We hand-select each piece for structural integrity and natural beauty, then mill, flatten, and finish it by hand. Depending on the piece, the process can take days or weeks — and we think that's exactly how it should be.

We use traditional joinery techniques alongside modern precision tools to create furniture built to last generations. Every joint is tight. Every finish is applied by hand. Every edge is intentional.

Made to Order

We don't keep a warehouse full of finished furniture. When you order from Kentucky LiveEdge, we build your piece from scratch — selecting the right slab, sizing it to your space, and finishing it to your specifications. This means you get something truly custom, and it means we never rush the process.
